surrender, stillness, reconciliation, introspection, validation, reality/illusion, public/private, sacred/profane.  in my art, i struggle to confront the deepest, darkest segments of the human psyche.  i often venture to places that others refuse to acknowledge, much less use as a creative force.  once an artist working in the traditional visual media of drawing and painting, i've now begun to explore the opportunities that emerging new media present for artists.  at a base level, new media presents an astonishing spectrum of interdisciplinary, multi-media experiences never before accepted as art.  the merging of visual, audio, and textual components with innovative presentation platforms has brought digital expression to a new level. 

my art is seldom simple, never comfortable, often disconcerting.  i allow my audience to experience fragments of my inner demons; i open myself up to complete strangers as a combination of multimedia and performance.  i seek to take art beyond a viewing experience to a totally-immersive environment, allowing the audience to if only for a moment see the world as i see it.
